Pastor Dan’s latest sermon series focuses on God’s presence in our suffering.
It’s hard to understand why an all-loving and all-powerful God allows us to experience regret, disappointment, emptiness, loneliness, suffering and fear. Doesn’t He care about us? God does care and he hurts right along with us. During Lent, we remember that God came down to earth in the form of a baby, who became a child, then a teenager and finally a man. God experienced what it was like to live here on earth. Jesus found out what it was like to suffer, and then He took upon Himself all the suffering of the world. Join us as we explore how, in Him, we can travel from tears to joy in our own lives.
A Message from Pastor Dan:
Using your computer on the internet to read about this church is a reminder of how technology has changed our lives. Many of those are good changes, but not all of them are. It seems like people are more disconnected from one another these days. Everyone seems to be in a hurry and stressed--trying to keep up in a world that is constantly changing. We tend to live our day to day lives without really thinking about the bigger picture of how to find meaning and purpose and true joy in all of this.
Jesus offers to us abundant life through a personal relationship with him. He offers to us unconditional acceptance when we repent and believe.
At Prairie Lane Church we celebrate the life-changing grace that is freely given to us through our faith in Jesus. We enjoy being Together in Christ's Presence. Together as a community we want to show and tell others about the relationship we have with God--because we know the joy and peace that comes with truly knowing Him. Jesus says, "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give your rest." (Matthew 11:28) We hope you accept that invitation to come to Jesus.
